We want to introduce a new section of our website with Yaroslavl musician reviews. When I asked Elina what a music band would be the first in our set she resolved writing about Leto na Marse.
The Yaroslavl band Leto na Marse (Russian: Лето на Марсе, English: Summer on Mars) was founded in October 2003 year. The first night was on the 29th of November.
We all went in the group having a little bit of music skills but all of us were willing to play music and do something own.
Leto na Marse visited Moscow in September 2005 and took part in Russian Competition "Have a right" ("Imeyu Pravo") of the music channel "O2 TV". Thanks to loyal followings they've won the first prize among 32 contestants.
In December 2006 the debut album "It's what is seen out the window" ("To, chto vidno za oknom", Russian: "То, что видно за окном") was released.
Make up a name of a band is always pitfalls. We were feverishly looking for variants when our bassist jokingly proposed "Leto na Marse". We were so excited! In fact, now he says he is irritated about this name (smiling). Let's face it. The name of group hasn't to reflect a music conception of the band.
The group is
- Nicholay Shelekhov — guitar
- Sergey Sushkov — vocals, guitar
- Evgeny Bazhin — drums
- Igor Vlasov — bass
Sometimes organizers mangle the band's name, e.g. "Mice on Summer". Today the band hasn't any director or promoter. And they solve all issues themselves. Once they proposed a soundtrack to a film director. He liked the soundtrack and now their voices are in the film.
Musical tastes are the main stumbling stone in the group. Somebody likes Russian music, another likes west music.
We wish there will be full house of Russian musicians in 100-150 years in New York.
Today the life is built with the principle "work and music". And they have to choose the best way.
Something brings money but it's not enjoyable. And another doesn't get a possibility to nurse a family but there is a great desire to do music. We hope we make the right decision.

A driver contrived to park his car only on three wheels! The car stood not far from the student hostel of the Pedagogue University on Volodarskogo street. Shortening the count of the support points didn't affect stability.

In one and a half years we'll not be able to know Kotorosl Embankment. There will be one of the most ambition Millennium project in a place of a waterlogged bank of the river from the Financial Academy to the Yubeleynaya Hotel. It's so called City Park. There will be a concert hall, a hotel, a fitness club there. And all of this can be seen in the projects.
Neglected parks and wasteland or a good territory with infrastructure? What will the residents want to see in the center of millennium Yaroslavl? Recently there was a public meeting when the project had been discussed. The president gift — the concert hall — will be the heart of the park. The group of companies "Tashir" readies to invest over a 500 million of dollars in the project.

More than two years ago the group of companies "Tashire" decided to realize the project "City Park". This park is intended for a concept "the city in the city". The City Park of millennium Yaroslavl is an absolutely new format for our city. The park promises to be the largest, the most expensive and highly technological object.
A hotel, a fitness club, colorful fountains… "City Park" is a social project. On top of that Kotoroselnaya naberezhnaya street will be widened.

It is the first post in our amusing website. Yes, I have to write something about this resource but eventually this post will be at the last page. Nevertheless, the first words are necessary to say.
Elina and I want to tell you about some provincial city in Russia. You can read many articles on the Internet about Russian life, habits, history etc. Also there is lots of information concerning Moscow, the capital of Russia. Although It's very interesting to read popular and common stories, we want to tell you only about real life in Russia.
And Yaroslavl is suitable for this mission. Photographs, news, music etc. They all are real things.
I wonder why everybody writes only about capitals? But the life in a province can be more interesting! Life in Yaroslavl.
